Meet the makers

One of the things that makes El Fenn so special is the people behind it. From the ceramics on the table to the lanterns overhead, every detail has been created by artisans whose work has become part of the hotel's identity. As part of our residency, we wanted to shine a light on the makers behind the pieces.

Poterie Serghini

Ceramics crafted by hand

Every plate throughout the residency has been handcrafted by Poterie Serghini, one of Morocco's most respected ceramic workshops.

Based in Fes, the family-run atelier has been preserving traditional pottery techniques for generations. Each piece is shaped, glazed and painted by hand, meaning no two are ever exactly alike. That individuality is part of what drew us to their work. Every plate carries subtle differences, celebrating the beauty of craftsmanship rather than uniformity.

Sahana

Embroidery that keeps tradition alive

Our exclusive El Fenn × Broadwick Soho collection was created in partnership with Sahana, founded by Valerie di Franco.

Working alongside a women's artisan collective in Marrakech, Sahana champions traditional Moroccan embroidery, including the intricate Randa stitch. Valerie often speaks about her work as a way of preserving these techniques, ensuring generations of craftsmanship continue to thrive while creating meaningful employment within local communities.

The result is a collection that celebrates both Marrakech and Soho through colour, illustration and hand embroidery.

Aterio Home

Contemporary craftsmanship

The bold striped side tables throughout the residency, alongside the decorative boxes found in our suites, were created by Aterio Home.

Founded by interior designer Mona Boubekeur, the studio works with skilled artisans to produce handcrafted furniture and objects in resin, bone, brass and mother-of-pearl. Known for glossy finishes and geometric forms, every piece balances contemporary design with traditional craftsmanship.

lANTERNS & TEXTILES

Lighting inspired by Marrakech & textiles Woven by hand

The red and white striped lanterns have become one of the defining features of the residency. Handcrafted in Marrakech, they bring together traditional techniques with a playful contemporary design. From woven cushions to soft furnishings, the textiles throughout the residency celebrate Morocco's rich weaving traditions. Created by skilled artisan workshops, they add texture, colour and warmth while reflecting the same attention to detail found throughout El Fenn.
