EVITA, The London Palladium | Until September 6th
Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice reunite for the triumphant return of Evita, complete with unforgettable scores including Don’t Cry for Me Argentina and You Must Love Me. Golden Globe winner Rachel Zegler takes centre stage in this legendary production, bringing new life to one of musical theatre’s most iconic roles. Each evening at 9pm, she steps onto the theatre’s balcony to share a moment of magic with the city, echoing the drama and grandeur of the story itself.
CLUELESS: THE MUSICAL, Trafalgar Theatre | Until August 23rd
Clueless arrives on stage with a new score by KT Tunstall, lyrics by Grammy winner Glenn Slater and direction by Rachel Kavanaugh. Emma Flynn makes her debut as Cher in this sparkling 90s Beverly Hills tale, where her talent for matchmaking and her larger-than-life allowance set the scene for a comedy of love and self-discovery. When a new girl arrives and her ex-stepbrother proves harder to ignore than expected, Cher begins to realise that even she may not have all the answers.
GIRL FROM THE NORTH COUNTRY, The Old Vic | Until August 23rd
Girl from the North Country returns for a strictly limited run, weaving Bob Dylan’s iconic songbook into a deeply moving tale of love, loss and hope at the height of the Great Depression. Set within the walls of a modest guesthouse, the story follows a group of strangers whose lives intertwine in unexpected ways, carried by music that speaks straight to the soul. With a company of 23 actors and musicians, Conor McPherson’s Award-winning production offers one final chance to experience the magic where it all began.

Ronnie Scott’s brings a month of exceptional live music to Soho this August, with highlights including Ruby Turner, Logan Richardson, Allysha Joyand Denny Ilett’s Electric Lady Big Band. From soulful vocals to funk‑infused big band nightsand the club’s iconic late‑night jazz sessions, London’s most legendary jazz venue promises a season of performances to remember.
BBC PROMS, Royal Albert Hall | Until September 13th
The BBC Proms returns to the Royal Albert Hall this summer
featuring landmark symphonies, cutting-edge premieres, The Traitors Prom and an overnight organ performance by Anna Lapwood. Programming spans from Mahler’s Fifth and Shostakovich’s Fifth (performed from memory) to family-friendly CBeebies Prom and blockbuster movie music nights, celebrated for bold curiosity, diversity and innovation under new Proms director Sam Jackson.
COLDPLAY, Wembley Stadium | Until September 8th
Coldplay bring their record‑breaking Music of the Spheres World Tour to London, joined by special guests Ayra Starr, Elyanna, Beabadoobee and the Simón Bolívar Symphony Orchestra. As part of the final leg of a global journey that began in 2022, the Wembley shows promise both spectacle and sustainability, powered entirely by renewable and audience-generated energy. With the tour drawing to a close, this may be the last chance to experience Coldplay’s epic production live on UK soil.

DENNIS MORRIS: MUSIC + LIFE, The Photographers Gallery | Until September 28th
Celebrate the work of British-Jamaican photographer Dennis Morris, renowned for his intimate portraits of cultural icons including Bob Marley, the Sex Pistols and Marianne Faithfull. Music + Life captures the soulful vibrancy of reggae and the rebellious energy of punk, offering rare glimpses into the lives of legendary musicians and reflecting the trust, connection and candour that made Morris one of the defining photographers of 20th‑century culture.
YOSHITOMO NARA, Hayward Gallery | Until August 31st
Celebrated worldwide for his powerful portraits whose eyes seem to gaze back at the viewer, Yoshitomo Nara explores themes of resistance, rebellion, isolation, freedom and spirituality. This expansive exhibition of more than 150 works in drawing, painting, sculpture, installation and ceramics traces the enduring influences on his art, from nature and its mythology to the peace movement, the idea of home, and his lifelong fascination with punk, rock and popular culture.
TAI SHANI: THE SPELL OR THE DREAM, Somerset House | Until September 14th
The Spell or The Dream transforms Somerset House this summer with sculpture, radio and live events that invite audiences to imagine new horizons. At its centre is The Spell, a luminous blue figure in the Edmond J Safra Fountain Court, accompanied by The Dream radio, a 24/7 broadcast featuring artists and thinkers from around the world. Together with talks, performances and family-friendly gatherings, it creates a space for reflection, resistance and renewal.
