OUR GUIDE TO april IN LONDON

Since the clocks changed last weekend, the days officially feel longer. To make the most of them, our concierge team have pulled together their recommendations for the month ahead, with particular attention to what is ending soon, so you do not miss anything worth seeing while you are in London.

For Easter, we have partnered with family-owned Italian Bear Chocolate to create a special room amenity, with our gummy bears dipped in their excellent chocolate. For those with a true passion for chocolate, we have arranged an exclusive masterclass at their Rathbone Place shop, just a short walk from the hotel, on Saturday 4th at 10.00am. And if Easter in Soho is tempting, our special package is available to book below, with our best rates included.

THEATRE

MARIE AND ROSETTA, SOHO PLACE | Ends 24th March.

A critically praised, music-led play celebrating Sister Rosetta Tharpe, blending live performance with a powerful story. Intimate and atmospheric, it’s the kind of production that feels especially at home in Soho.

BACK TO THE FUTURE, ADELPHI THEATRE | Ends 12th April

A big, fast-paced West End spectacle that leans into nostalgia and special effects, with a proper feel-good energy throughout. It’s one for when you want something fun, familiar and a little over the top in all the right ways.

THE UNLIKELY PILGRIMAGE OF HAROLD FRY, THEATRE ROYAL HAYMARKET | Ends 18th April

A quieter, more reflective adaptation with a strong emotional pull, centred around one man’s unexpected journey. Best suited to a slower evening, where the storytelling stays with you long after the curtain call.

MUSIC

BRICK LANE JAZZ FESTIVAL | 24th - 25th April

A weekend of live jazz taking over venues across Brick Lane, with a lineup that draws the city’s most in-the-know music crowd. Expect everything from intimate sets to late-night sessions, with East London at its most electric.

CANDLELIT CONCERT SERIES, CENTRAL HALL WESTMINSTER | 4th until 25th April

Candlelit orchestral tributes to Fleetwood Mac, Adele and Hans Zimmer, set inside one of Westminster’s most atmospheric spaces. A slower, more immersive way to spend an evening, where the setting is just as memorable as the music.

THE PRODIGY LIVE, OVO ARENA WEMBLEY | 24th & 25th April

Britpop anthems with orchestral swagger, nostalgia done properly and with a very London sense of humour.

EVENTS & exhibitions

THEATRE PICASSO, TATE MODERN | Ends 12th April

An exploration of Picasso’s work through theatre and performance, bringing a different perspective to his practice. A more focused way to experience his work, beyond the usual gallery format.

TURNER & CONSTABLE, TATE BRITAIN | Ends 12th April

A rare chance to see two of Britain’s most influential painters side by side, tracing their rivalry and legacy. It’s a must for anyone interested in British art, with works that rarely sit in conversation like this.

ROSIE WYLIE, THE BIGGER PICTURE | Ends 19th April

A bold, large-scale showcase of Rose Wylie’s playful and distinctive work, spanning decades of her career. Full of colour and character, it’s one of the more unexpected exhibitions to catch this season.
