THEATRE

A MIDSUMMER NIGHT’S DREAM | REGENT’S PARK OPEN AIR THEATRE

Summer theatre doesn't get much better than Shakespeare beneath the trees. Set against the natural backdrop of Regent's Park, this fresh production blends music, mischief and romance in one of London's most enchanting open-air settings. Arrive early with a picnic and settle in as the sun begins to set. Until July 18th.

WAR HORSE | NATIONAL THEATRE

Michael Morpurgo's beloved story returns to the National Theatre, bringing its breathtaking life-sized horse puppets back to the stage. Powerful, emotional and visually spectacular, War Horse remains one of the most celebrated productions in British theatre and a must-see while it's returns home this summer. Ends July 30th.

MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING | SHAKESPEARE’S GLOBE

Few London experiences rival an evening at Shakespeare's Globe. Shakespeare's witty comedy of mistaken identities, romance and razor-sharp dialogue is perfectly suited to the open-air setting on the banks of the Thames. Whether you're standing in the Yard or seated in the galleries, it's a quintessential London summer evening. Begins July 1st.

MUSIC

BST HYDE PARK | HYDE PARK

Hyde Park's biggest music event returns with headline performances from Maroon 5, Mumford & Sons, Pitbull, Lewis Capaldi and more. Between concerts, the festival atmosphere continues with outdoor entertainment, making it one of the highlights of London's summer calendar. Final shows July 12th.

SOMERSET HOUSE SUMMER SERIES

Eleven unforgettable nights of live music transform Somerset House's spectacular courtyard into one of London's most atmospheric concert venues. Until July 26th.

LILY ALLEN WEST END GIRL | O2 ARENA

Following phenomenal demand, Lily Allen has added an extra London date to her acclaimed West End Girl tour, giving fans another chance to experience her first live shows in seven years. Performing her critically acclaimed album in full, it's one of the hottest tickets in the capital this month—and tickets are still available. Final date 7th July.

EVENTS & exhibitions

WIMBLEDON TENNIS CHAMPIONSHIPS

One of London's most iconic summer traditions returns. Whether you've secured Centre Court tickets, joined the famous Queue or are watching from one of the city's outdoor screens, expect two weeks of world-class tennis, strawberries and cream, and an atmosphere unlike anywhere else in the capital. SOHO VILLAGE FÊTE | SOHO

One of Soho's most-loved annual traditions returns for its 51st year. Expect the legendary Waiters' Race, live entertainment, food stalls, tug of war and plenty of neighbourhood charm. Just a short stroll from Broadwick Soho, it's the perfect excuse to spend the day exploring our corner of the city. Takes place July 19th.

ANA MENDIETA | TATE MODERN

The first major UK exhibition of the influential Cuban-American artist in over a decade, bringing together her iconic earthworks, films and sculptures. This is likely to be one of the biggest art openings of the summer. Opens July 15th.
